False positive on Fonts

On a Windows 2000 Server, a Registry Cleaner Font Entry Scan (or any scan that includes fonts) treats all entries in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts as "Invalid font entry"

On a Windows XP computer, the same scan shows no errors.

The errors on the Windows 2000 Server can be eliminated by changing the value data in the Fonts key to include the full path (C:\Winnt\Fonts).

On the Windows XP computer the full path is C:\Windows\Fonts

Could the errors be caused by Registry Cleaner being hard-coded to assume a path of C:\Windows\Fonts?

Could you show what kind of values the font entries contain in Windows 2000 server?

Some examples of the values and data in the Fonts key are shown below

Value Arial (TrueType)

Data ARIAL.TTF

Value Bank Gothic Medium BT (TrueType)

Data bgothm.ttf

These are the same on the Windows 2000 Server and the Windows XP desktop, and are fonts that are installed by with the Operating System. The "Invalid font entry" was recorded for all 201 values in the font key.

However, the first value in the Fonts key on the Windows 2000 Server is:

Value AHD Symbol (TrueType)

Data AHED.TTF

This font was installed by a 16-bit program (American Heritage Dictionary, hence the AHD in the names). The font file is in C:\WINNT\Fonts like all the other fonts, but I wonder if an application-installed font, particularly in the first value of the Fonts key, or the fact that the application was 16-bit could be the problem.
