3 emails today from Macecraft and no mention of the discount!

The bad news is

1) I received three of the same email today at the same address, hours apart, about PT X, and they kept coming in spite of having unsubscribed with the first;

2) When I tried to find a way to contact Macecraft, I discovered after many months that there was a $5.95 price for previous users, something never mentioned in the emails in the many months preceding or since its release.

3) However, that page did not mention the additional 60% discount for previous users, which would have brought the price to $2.38. That only showed up after I had purchased at $5.95 and came back to find a way to contact Macecraft about the emails. I'd like to get it; and

4) Once purchased, the Contact Us/Your Details page doesn't show any way to contact Macecraft directly (the original pre-purchase one did show an email, but that page got left behind).

The good news (maybe)... Well, I have PT X.

Hi, we have updated the mailing list software and it seems it doesn't properly handle duplicate emails (if your email is, for one reason or another, more than once in our list, the system will send the same message to you multiple times). We are currently fixing the issue and it should not happen again.

The normal upgrade price for our existing customers is $5.95 USD and it was mentioned in all emails relating to the product release, it's also visible in our website as well as in the online shop's front page (just select the "upgrade" option from the Product selection box).

The Contact Us page (https://www.macecraft.com/contact-us/) has a big "Technical support" text, under which there is a link. Following the link leads you to "https://www.macecraft.com/my-license/" which says:

"Fill out your name and email address below to proceed." and

"This tool allows you to see all your previous orders and download your licenses, it also tells you if you are entitled to update to PowerTools X and gives you access to technical support."

The step is required because we only provide technical support for our customers (not trial version users or pirated version users) and the Download My License page also provides answers to our most commonly asked questions ("what license I own?" etc) and it allows us to give the customer the correct contact details based on the customer's membership status.

On the contrary, not only did your emails not mention the $5.95 price for those who purchased PT 2014 before August, I wrote two or three times many months ago asking why old users weren't getting a discount and never received a reply. But let's take a current example. Below is your email of today (5 copies now received). There's no $5.95 or any other price mentioned, and the 60% discount that is mentioned refers to updating to Platinum VIP not to the purchase of the program itself. I also notice you didn't offer to retroactively adjust the amount I just paid to reflect the 60% discount.

Then there's your so-called "contact us" page. On the page I'm taken to after filling in my name and email, there is no mention of any email address to contact you, tech support or otherwise. Check the attached screenshot.

The $5.95 USD upgrade price for old customers was no longer mentioned because it has been a while from the PowerTools X's launch.

The price was included in numerous emails during the product launch, in the official press release, and it's still in the website in numerous places including the online store.

Unfortunately we cannot offer partial refunds, this is a policy forced to us by our credit card processor (because they consider partial refunds a high fraud risk transaction and online software sales are already in their higher fraud risk category). If you want, you can request a full refund and after that make a new order.

There was indeed a problem in the Download My License page, if you reload the page now, it will show you the contact details.
