I had installed and used the latest version of jv16 Powertools 2014 yesterday.
After I had ran Clean up and Fix and Registry Cleaner (clean up and fix still does not find all of the stuff the registry cleaner finds) compatibility mode for all users in my Windows 8 x64 did not work anymore. The options that normally grey out when you apply them for all users are not greyed out and not applied to the compatibility setting of the application anymore.
After that onto my next problem the registry backup files that jv16 Powertools 2014 made I restored using the
Well onto the next problem than, System Restore is disabled on my C:\ partition since I have an ssd and it reduces the lifespan of it. Luckily a registry backup was made the 29th of september because I installed some updates than. For those who do not know the registry hives reside in C:\Windows\system32\config it are the files called SOFTWARE, SAM, SYSTEM and DEFAULT (those are the ones that Windows creates backup of and that jv16 Powertools compresses as well), the backup files of those are ones that jv16 Powertools 2014 creates when compressing files. The backups that Windows creates of these are in the folder
Next problem, Windows 8 was not activated anymore (and would not activate anymore) and Windows Media Player 12 did not work anymore under my own useraccount. Activation problem solved by using slmgr.vbs to remove the license and rebooting to go to my computer and insert the license key again thus activating Windows 8 again. Onto the Windows Media Player 12 it appeared that it was a userprofile problem (again most likely created by Powertools 2014) fixed by removing the userprofile and placing back userprofile data to the account so I don't have to configure a lot of options again.
I think you should beta (alpha maybe) your jv16 Powertools 2014 again as this problem did not occur with jv16 Powertools 2013.
If you need any extra data on what the registry cleaner attempts to fix I can supply that but for now I’m not using jv16 Powertools 2014 anymore and as a VIP Platinum license holder that kind off disappoints me.
edit: Found out that normal compatibility mode still works but compatibility for all users (change compatibility for all users) does not work anymore for normal (Administrative) user accounts.

As seen there are multiple compatibility flags removed of programs that are not on my computer anymore though I don't really see something that could cause the compatibility mode for all users problem maybe the virtualstore key in the hkey_classes_root but so far untested. I still have the backup files so if you (jv16) wants me to upload them or anything just ask (as stated previously)
