Registry cleaner locking up

2013 has started to lock up. Windows log from after running registry cleaner. I am using W7 home premium 64bit, all updates.

The program jv16PT.exe version 3.0.0.1258 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, no change. the only update I recall is Java today

Powertools 2012 also didn't work BUT light 2012 and CCleaner however worked OK

I have fixed 2013. I used Revo Uninstaller Pro to do a total uninstall. Rebooted and reinstalled again. rebooted and ran clean computer and registry cleaner. they had little to find now BUT did work now.

Had exactly the same on both a 32bit W7 and Vista laptop. With both Powertools Light works OK but jv16 PowerTools 2013 locked up. I have taken it off on both and will retry when new update is out. The original 64 bit W7 has it working but much slower than Powertools Light

I am experiencing the same issue using the Registry Cleaner on two different PCs. I uninstalled 2013 completely, rebooted, reinstalled and no joy. So, I uninstalled 2013 completely, installed 2012 and no problems whatsoever. Hopefully, a fix will be forthcoming soon. :)

Thanks, I have updated with this.

One 32bit and 64bit W7 reg cleaner is now working. However one issue that may creat problems is there is nothing showing that anything is happening once you back up other than task manager shows very high use taking place.

Its probably the changed program but its much much slower than 2013 light or JV16 2012.

The two things might create a view it dead, though on my 32bit I had a W7 error log above so that wasn't the isle on that PC or the 64 bit that takk manager was reporting not responding. On the 64 bit a clean uninstall/reinstall got it going (slowly).
