New jv16PT2013 won't accept license bought on Oct.15th

I bought jvPT2012 last year on April 7th, and then purchased the upgrade to PTLiteEX 2013 because a marketing email sent me this on past Oct 15th:

We are giving away a limited number of jv16 PowerTools 2012 with a whopping

35% discount! And what's even better: if you buy it now, you will also be

entitled to update to the upcoming jv16 PowerTools 2013 (after it has been

released) without any update fees!

However, I've just installed the new jv16PT 2013 but it won't accept my license purchased that day Oct15th (unless I pay an upgrade fee, once again ) although the news website http://www.macecraft.com/jv16-powertools-2013-released/ says:

Pricing: The price for new customers is only $29.95. Customers, who have bought the 2012 version in September of 2012 or later, are entitled for a free upgrade (your existing license will work with the new version). Customers who have bought any product from Macecraft are entitled to upgrade with a discounted price of $5.95. To buy with the discounted upgrade price, please go to: http://www.macecraft.com/upgrade-pt2013/

Why won't accept my free upgrade to jv16PT 2013???

If I understood you correctly:

1. You bought jv16PT2012 on April 7th 2012.

2. Purchased PTLiteEX 2013, for free, based on the ownership of jv16PT2012.

Point 1. and 2. do not entitle you for a free upgrade jv16PT2012 -> jv16PT2013.

This upgrade would costs indeed $5.95.

Question: On October 15th did you buy a second copy of jv16PT2012 at the offered 35% discount??

Because only that second copy would entitle you for a free upgrade to jv16PT2013.

No, I had to pay the upgrade fee to get PTLiteEX2013, it was not given free, and as I said above I purchased PTLiteEX2013 because of this:

Anyway, I was contacted by a support representative who said that I do have a valid license for jv16PT2013.

I sent them a screenshot of the error message that appears when I run the "install a new license" feature. Thanks.

Similar issue. Purchased upgrade license from jv16 PT 2011 to jv16 PT 2012 on Nov. 10, 2012. jv16 PT 2013 will not accept the 2012 license. Do I have to buy another license?
