The bug described in BlackDex's link isn't the same, it's only in the Registry Manager and the problem was easy to pinpoint and fix.
However, I can't seem to find any bug that could cause this. (and the feature works all right here)
Could you tell me what version of Windows you are using? I trust you haven't changed the default settings of the product, such as what registry editor it should use (Settings > Advanced).
And could you try to type "regedit.exe" to Start button > Run and hit enter. Does the Registry Editor start?
