PowerTools Lite EX 2013 is our new product that comes with more features from the jv16 PowerTools utility suite. While PowerTools Lite remains freeware, the PowerTools Lite EX will be released as a commercial product with a low price of $9.95. Customers who own a license for jv16 PowerTools can use the same license with PowerTools Lite EX. The Lite EX comes with a fully working 60 day trial test period, just like jv16 PowerTools.

Please read the following before downloading

Remember that this is release candidate level software. This means that this version has been made available only for testing purposes. This version can still contain bugs and can potentially damage your computer and mind.

As always, we will give out free licenses to the best beta testers. If a beta tester already owns a license we can also issue VIP and Platinum VIP packages for free, or other such prizes.

However, you are not entitled for any kind of free license by simply downloading these beta versions. Free licenses are given out only to beta testers who give us valuable feedback, such as bug reports or improvement ideas. We will publish the list of users who won a free license after the final version of the product has been released, not before. All free licenses are decided on case-by-case, sometimes it takes just one message with two lines to earn a license (e.g. if you found a really good bug that no one else reported), sometimes it takes much more.

How to send your feedback

* Please use the Post Reply button of this thread for all feedback.

* If you are reporting a bug, please give as much information as possible in regards what steps are required to reproduce the problem. Also let us know what version of Windows you are using. There is no need to post the hardware configuration of your computer, unless asked.

* You can send attachments, including screenshots, to the thread from the Post Reply > Upload attachment tab (below the main text area).

* If you are reporting a bug that is not obvious, please include the Debug Log to your report. Note: the Debug Log contains information about your computer, if you do not wish other users to see all this information, you can use the Private Messages feature to send the Debug Log to us.

* If you are reporting a False Positive by the Registry Cleaner (or by "Clean and fix my computer" tool), there is no need to send a Debug Log, this version does not have debug log enabled for the Registry Cleaner to show its true performance. To report a False Positive, simply send a Screenshot of the False Positive, and say what settings of the Registry Cleaner you are using.

* You can also send you general feedback, how you feel the program works for you or if there is something you don't understand, or if some feature doesn't work the way you expected. Feedback like this is sometimes even more valuable than bug reports.

How to create a Debug Log

* Go to the installation directory of the program (c:\program files\PowerTools Lite EX 2013 Release Candidate\ by default) and create an empty file called "DebugMode.dat" there. Then start the program and re-create the problem. The Debug Log is being automatically saved to your desktop as you use the program.

Release Notes:

* Do not install this version over any existing version of PowerTools Lite or jv16 PowerTools.

I ran Clean and fix my computer. After a short while, it presented the list shown here:

I expanded the Temp Files group and removed the items in a subgroup. More than three minutes after the list first appeared, it expanded with the addition of the Start menu and desktop items group, shown below. It was a surprise since the program gave no indication that it was still working.

Perhaps this behavior is by design? If so, will the program warn the user who finishes with the first part of the list, and closes the list, before the second part has a chance to appear.

My PC win vista home premium 32 bit - sp2 - Intel Core Duo T5670 - 4Gb ram -

reports the error in dual mode and extended old "dos"?

Would be useful to a warning text or close software button of the Nokia suite telephone, or other software running in the background to avoid erroneous reports to fix failed o remove error

a suite nokia closed regular fix, but pointing error fix as a single file

Scanner initial counseling software still open tray in to close, or kill for optimum cleaning !

To my knowledge, this behaviour is unintended. Thanks for reporting.

Agreed, that would be an useful addition. We'll see what we can do!

Oops. That's my fault, I'll fix it.

When using the most aggressive cleaning policy with registry cleaner and reference scanning mode plus enable the custom selection of scans all checked the programs hangs at the end after a couple of seconds or so it becomes responsive and when it starts sorting and finalising the found errors it goes in to a loop, it can't finish the process. The progress bar starts then it goes back and all over again. The green bar is blinking back and fourth. I thought the problem was low RAM but with normal scanning mode it goes smoothly with no problems. Although it find 480 deep leftover trace items it can't delete but the 2012 version has the same issues. I tried to create the debug log but when i created the file in the programs directory as you suggested the program didn't start. It says an error has been encountered. I tried restart a couple of times and I also closed and tried again but nothing, after I deleted the Debulog.dat file the problem was gone. The new 2013 version is a lot faster, stable and more responsive aside from this little bug.
