Duplicate Finder

I'm trying to run the duplicate finder in one or my picture folders.

I have JV16PT version 1.5.1.311.

I used the search tab to bring up one of my folders in the MY Pictures folder.

I typeed in *.jpg at the box for Files to Find tab.

Nothing happens?

At the Options tab,3,4,5,have check marks.

Any Suggestions!!

Hello frankie,

Well for me - under Windows XP - Duplicate Finder is working fine with your settings.

If you say "Nothing happens", does this mean the Start-Button is still greyed out - i.e. inactive; or if you hit it there will be no message box which tells you "Working ...".

I get a splash screen that says "Working this may take several minutes please wait" After several minutes I then close it.I tried it an different size folders and it does the same thing.

I'm 99% sure this is caused by the same problem as the thread about File Finder (http://www.macecraft.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=465).

So, try to download the program again and install it over the current version. I'm rather sure it fixes this problem.

Try to uncheck all the settings from the Options tab.

New registered user. Most of the utilities have the 'Start' button greyed out. Do they need to be activated?

Hello,

They will stay "greyed out" as long as you don't have entered all the necessary informations, i.e. where and what to search or find.
