Free Upgrade to 2012?

I took Macecraft up on their offer (see email below) to upgrade to 2011 for $3 and would like to know how to obtain my free 2012 license.

This is the message I receive when trying to install the license file:

"The license file "C:\..." is valid but only for an older version of this product. But since you own a license, you might be entitled for a free or discounted update. Do you wish to open your browser to find out?"

I read in a previous email from another user on these forums that their license file does not work for 2012, and they purchased their license, as I did, in September 2011.

That's not right, if you took the upgrade offer, your license should work with PowerTools 2012.
