Cookie manager improved

FYI: I have now finished re-coding of the few core functions of the Cookie Manager. I'm most confident the improvements will solve the problems of some users not being able to delete any of IE's cookies.

The version with this fix included should be released in the beginning of next week.

The current version tries to access the cookie files directly, the new version uses IE's APIs to access them. Both approaches have pros and cons, but I hope it now works with all systems.

If not, I guess I'll have to start to think about some sort of hybrid solution...

The new version also allows you to use the Cookie Manager and History Manager if the browser is running, but you must close down the browser if you wish to remove any items.

Ahh :) it seems to work.

Only one question.

Whtat is the meaning of the 'Remove' option in the popup-menu?

Becouse it removes the items from the list, asks if i want to make a backup. But nothing seems to be removed.

Only when i select 'Move to Remove' and then press the 'Start' button they will be removed compleetly.

Is this still a buggy?

The Remove option allows you to remove individual cookies without having to put them first to the Remove box.

Hello jv,

For me the improved Cookie Manager is only working partially. Even if it tells me that all Cookies in "Remove" has been removed, there are Cookies - of IE - which are removed definitly and others are back in "Unknown" when I restart Cookie Manager.

Strange, strange ...!

Could somebody else confirm this?

I just downloaded the trial version (for 30 days) this morning (Oct 6), and I have the latest version. But the cookie manager refuses to permanently remove the cookies even though it tells me that they have been removed..... but as soon as I close and then open it again, here they are again... :-(

The same is happening when I try to remove files from the HISTORY manager, and even though I get a message that the files have been removed, next time I go look they are back....

Help, please? Thank you

Have installed new version (1.5.1.311), verified install, shutdown ALLav, etc and still cant remove cookies...???
