Access Violation occurs: Go to 'Main menu' -> 'Tools' -> 'Program maintenance' -> 'Flush cache' + rebuild cache.

ALL following Initial setups/Cache rebuilds failed with the same Access Violation error, unless a full jv16PT2012 Beta1 uninstall + reinstall was done.

This Access Violation application error is 100% repeatable!

For both XP-SP3 and W7-SP1 the DebugLog.html + Bugreport.txt files are attached in the .zip files.

The function of complete removal of software did not work.?

Reason:

Change of Vista Theme;

_ Remove a software called: TrueTransparency (Vista)…

TrueTransparency can be only distributed electronically through the official host www.customxp.net.

FYI:

_Older Jv16 recognized True Transparency as an Unknown…

But, “it was on the list” in the Software Removal..>> option.. and removal was easy, fast and efficient…

Action Taken :

To Manualy Remove::

1. System restore…

Restart:

2. Manually Remove Software.. /

Delete Folder from C:\Program Files\ ect..

Run: Jv16 B1\Fix\

3. Run\ Crap Cleaner:

No Issues found..

Restart..

Note:

Software has never Appeared on Windows Vista Program List for removal..

For this reason whenever a Vista .theme change was made … This program would either be Added or Remove by means of the older Jv16 Utility…

I realize the software Installer / Uninstaller was insufficient for TrueTransparency..

However, Jv16 has always been the best utility program to remove these types of commonplace software Installer / Uninstaller problems… And: This is only but; one;

of the many reasons why JV16 is :”the best” Registry Tool on the market….

Confirmed for W7-SP1 x86 and XP-SP3 for files between 1B and 2GB!

There seems to be a relation to the 'Search by size' settings (tested in XP-SP3):

1.Specified File sizes between 1B-2KB, 2B-2KB, 1KB-2KB, 1KB - 2MB do find files.

2.File sizes between 2B-2KB and 1KB-2KB find files but the reversed specified file sizes 2KB-2B and 2KB-1KB do not find files,

neither does the reversed specification generates (expected) error messages.

3.Specified file sizes between 1B-2GB, 1KB-2GB, 1MB-2GB do not find files.

I just corrected a bug which caused all sizes specified in bytes to be handled as zero. Reversed values for sizes (ranges with the larger size specified before a smaller size) should also work properly now, as does searching for files between 1B and 2GB. These fixes should be included in the Beta2.

It may be that this is just do to the configuration of my machine. Whenever I run C&F (in full screen) and switch between *any* window, the display of the JVPT window gets mangled a bit. This issue occurs without any scroll bars being present, and is 100% reproducible. All it takes to correct to this is to click in the JVPT window.

Attached is a Windows Problem Steps Recorder (PSR) zip to illustrate. PSRs are very useful; however, they tend to get large. Without wishing to clog the tubes, is it possible to raise the file limit for attachments a bit in these beta forums?

Also, can anyone else confirm this happens?

Confirmed, not only by C&F, but also by another tools (for example by Registry Cleaner). Earlier reported here

in addition: Right click on the list does not work properly (only in the column Key).

Gentleman, thank you for your confirmation.

As noted on the first post in this thread by JV himself, an issue occurs when scroll bars are present. What I am trying to show is an issue without scroll bars, which may or may not be the same.

& Downgraded to a faster Divx Player .
