garry35 wrotei am using the latest version of jv16 PowerTools in windows 7 service pack 1 x64. I recently deleted a folder with about 7000 files by mistake, I launched jv16 PowerTools and used the recover files option. This found all my files I had deleted and I selected all of them and pressed the undelete button and it appeared to work, but after checking I could only find 3 files which had been recovered. The drive is formatted in NTFS and NOT encrypted and indexing is turned off. There are no errors on the drive and there is plenty of free space....
1. Did you use jv16PT2011_build 1043?
2. What was the File Recovery Condition( %) before you start recovering these 7000 files?
See attached example where I tried to recover a jv16PT handbook file (.pdf) using jv16PT v2.0.0.1043.
The recover condition(%) was only 6%, jv16PT File Recovery reports 'Operation completed' but the File Recovery end result was
a file with the proper size but unreadable by Acrobat Reader.
