Have to power down and power up to close out the Backup Tools open window. None of the options on the open Backup Tools window or menu can be used.
Cannot close out the frozen and locked up open Backups window or menu. Happens on Version 2.0.0.1007 and Version 2.0.0.1009.
Using v2.0.0.1009 I did some tests with XP-SP3 and W7 x86 and found:
1.XP-SP3 and W7 x86: If I select 'Backups' on the jv16PT main window, while no Registry/File/Other backup files exist, the Backup Tool window freezes but no application error occurs. It requires Windows Task Manager to terminate jv16PT.exe or a Power down/up, to get rid of the frozen Backup Tool window.
This behaviour is repeatable for both XP-SP3 and W7-x86.
2.XP-SP3: If there are one or more backup file present, clicking 'Backups' on the jv16PT main window opens the Backup Tool window normally.
-> Select 'Tools' in the top window bar, -> Select 'Program maintenance', click 'Delete old backups'. This will delete the backup files that are >2 day's old.
If all backup files are older than 2 day's all files will be deleted and after the deletion completes the Backup Tools window freezes (not for W7 x86) and requires the Windows Task Manager to terminate jv16PT.exe or a Power down/up, to get rid of the frozen Backup Tool window.
