upgrading from 2010 to 2011 jv16 power tools

I have used 2010 jv16 power tools successfully for many months on windows xp 32 bit p5 computer.

I down loaded 2011 version and paid 5.95 for upgrade.I downloaded 8 license xbin files and none work.

trial version of 2011 program still remains.

how do register/license 2011 program.

I keep getting corrupt license file error.

do I need to remove 2010 version to license 2011 version.

1. Uninstall the 2010 version. During the uninstall you can keep the Settings & Backups (check boxed items).

2. Install version 2011, jv16PT-2011 will now start in trial mode.

3. Copy/move the new 2011 license.xbin file to the 2011 installation folder. Stop/start jv16PT-2011

4. jv16PT-2011 should now run in licensed mode.

thank you for your help but after doing what you suggested I still can not license the 2011 trial version. support has sent me about 12 license files.jv16pt-2011 can not find or use license files. I have cleaned all mace software & license files from previous versions, turned off virus software, purged registry. every time I install jv16pt-2011 the software does not

start at 60 days trial but at the days used since first installation. is there somewhere on my computer that a file is stored keeping tract of everything?

macecraft software has charged me 5.95 for the upgrade that I ordered that does not work on my computer. they also

have charged me 41.74 for something I did not order or receive the product . I guess I will have to remove the

software before the trial period expires. it is a shame because it is excellent software & I have used it for many

years with out trouble.

If they don't work either, explain your situation in a PM to the developer (jv16). Perhaps he can get an uncorrupted License.xbin file to you.

1. Did you use jv16PT Main window -> Help -> License Tool, to search for the new license.xbin? One user reported that this solved his license search problem!

2. Yes, jv16PT has a hidden way to keep track of the date you first installed the new version.

tried using license tool but tells me I have corrupt file or program can not find license file..

where can you send/request a new uncorrupted license file??????????????

thanks for all your help.............may have to give up and find other software that will work
