The Handbook favors Acrobat 6 over Acrobat Reader 7?

This is a minor problem, but it's annoying.

I have both Acrobat 6 Professional and Acrobat Reader 7 installed.

In Windows Explorer, the default action for .PDF files (including Handbook.pdf) is to open within Acrobat Reader 7.

However, when I launch the handbook from within PowerTools, itself, the handbook is opened with Acrobat 6, in editing mode!

OS: Windows XP Professional SP2.

The jv16 PowerTools uses normal Windows file opening API to open the handbook, it doesn't try to detect what version of the adobe acrobat reader you have at all.

But it sure sounds strange that Windows uses acrobat to open the file, instead of the acrobat reader.

You can tell Windows the program you like to open by clicking a file (i.E. a PDF). If you have installed Adobe Acrobat 6 it's normal that Adobe Acrobat 6 is started when you click the jv16PT-Help.pdf. When you prefer to open it with the Adobe Reader 7, you have to change the preset to the Reader (instead of the Acrobat). You can open a PDF alternate with the context menu (right click) and then you click to programs. The list shows you all programs you have installed and you can use a program (of course a dedicated one) definitiv (check the box) or temporary (uncheck the box).
