It's not such a basic question, after all.
Here's the procedure to follow.
1. Use the program's own uninstallation program at Registry Manager > Add/Remove menu. Remember to use the Uninstall button, not the Remove button. The Remove button only removes the software's entries from the add/remove list, not the software itself.
2. If the program still shows in the Software Manager, use it to remove it. It's up to your skills whether you should use the normal Remove method or the Custom Remove method.
3. If you consider yourself as advanced user, you could run the Registry Finder using the names of the software as its search words. Using Registry Finder for this is a bit tricky since it can also list entries that are not in any ways related to the software you are uninstalling, therefore you must go through all the found items and make sure they are really related to the software in question. If you are unsure, don't remove anything.
Before anyone asks: it's really impossible to create any good one-click solution for this problem. The less feedback the program gets from the user, the mroe it must try to guess by itself and the greater the chances are that something goes wrong. Or, you could just make the entire feature so weak the wrong guesses wouldn't be likely to cause any problems.
But on the other hand, I'd rather like to create four or five click solutions which allow users to be in control what is going on, rather those magical one-click wonders which can't ever work as well but seem more user friendly.
