970 on normal setting is identifying reg entries of this latest Skype beta (5.0.0.123) as junk, causing Skype to have to pseudo-reinstall after their removal by 970.

Which Win OS do you use? Please attach a list of the Skype registry entries that were incorrectly removed with jv16PT at "Normal settings" here.

A few entries can be 'placed inline', if it is a long list, please attach .zip file of the list.

I think it is ok to report your skype 5.0.0.123 beta problem here on this forum too. Certainly bugs should be reported to BugTracker but than you should provide more information, e.g the Win OS in use and the list of Registry entries that were incorrectly removed at 'Normal settings' by jv16PT.

I am not sure if the developer did take a look at these 4 "incorrectly removed" Skype registry entries!

Thanks for reminding, the issue is now fixed. The fix will be included to the next released build of PowerTools.
