Running XP-Pro-SP3 with jv16PT2010-build 966:

Playing around in History Cleaner, trying to (unsuccesfuly) reproduce the errors mentioned above this post, jv16PTb966 entered a 'Freeze'.

The created bugreport.txt for this Freeze is attached in de .zip file, together with a Screenshot of 'History Cleaner List data'.

Right clicking on the List data line WindowsUpdate.log (or any other line) and choosing the 'Properties' option has zero response/effect. Nothing happens. :(

I was one of the ones who had major problems with this program crashing, not starting properly, not closing properly, not uninstalling propperly, etc because of the so called antivirus problem. I was pretty much done with this program at that point. Today (8/13/10) I get a message from Macecraft dated 8/1/10 about a new version supposedly to fix this stuff. The message stated the version was 964, yet when I click the link to download it, it's version 966. Not a very good way to start off to try to get my confidence in this program back. Then I come here to find out more and read this thread. Seems problems continue with this program. I'm going to sit back for awhile and watch before I even think about installing it again. I need to be confident it's bug free and right now I'm not. Sorry for being negative here but the thing has got to work for me or I'm not going to mess with it. I have too much valuable stuff on this computer to take a chance on messing something up and I don't have time to mess with programs that are running errors.

Well, I have tried to trigger the crash in History Cleaner by right-clicking the entries in the list one by one and choosing Show data and then clicking on the panel Files or Registry entries, but the tool did not crash...

I have repeated the action several times without "success"...

Edit: I got a "Freeze" after I closed the program itself (similar as reported by Leonardo?).

Probably a bugreport.txt was generated by the 'freeze'.

For the developer it could contain additional debugging information on top of my bugreport.txt.

I can reproduce some of these issues, the problem is the same that has been reported by Hanzie before: the list control contains a bug that sometimes causes the program to crash. While the issue is not serious per se, I'd really like to get it fixed ASAP.

I'll see what I can do.

After changing 'Settings' -> 'Advanced interface' -> 'List Options' -> check boxing the first 3 lines (see screenshot changed settings), go to Privacy Tools -> History Cleaner -> double clicking on the Found History data line 'Windows(logs)' will cause an 'Access Violation', repeatedly!

After undoing the 3 line 'Settings' change the 'Access Violation' does not occur anymore.

Attached are 4 Screenshots, the Bugreports.txt and the Debug log.html covering this test.

I hope the developer wil be able to recreate this.

History Cleaner occasionally (after a few times 'Open', some minor actions ...,'Close') shows the same line items twice (double lines)!

Issue confirmed, I can reproduce the problem at will. Working on it as we speak.

The issue is now fixed, thank you for reporting! A private test build will be most likely released shortly here: http://www.macecraft.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=4188, this can be used to verify this fix.

An official release with this fix will be released most likely in this week.
