Wrong newsletter announcing the new build 966

I received a newsletter announcing the newest version 2.0.0.964 :

Obviously it contains also the new features in that version 2.0.0.964 (see below), but not those of te newest version 966.

An updated version of jv16 PowerTools 2010 released. This release contains changes to avoid Norton and McAfee Anti-Virus products from freezing the user's computer when installing PowerTools.


The updated version also contains the following other changes:
•	Safety improvement: Running the Clean and Fix my computer or File Cleaner with the safest scan option will no longer list any files relating to Windows, nor any DLL or other executable files.
•	Bug fix: The Status Bar of Star Menu Tool does not correctly show the number of items on the list.
•	Bug fix: The File Finder doesn't find all the possible files when performing a search based on a wild card search pattern such as "Foobar*".
•	Bug fix: The program can crash to "List index out of bounds".
•	This build contains updated translations to many languages and one new translation: Spanish

The new version's version number is 2.0.0.964

I got the wrong one too!

It was bad timing, as I was nearly succeeding in talking myself into upgrading to the 2010 version from 2009. This entirely preventable 'shooting themselves in the foot' episode does not bode well for confidence in the company or product. I will need to see a LOT more HAPPY people on the forums heralding the praises of the 2010 version before I jump in. From what I can see the 2010 version has been a mini-disaster so far. I want it to be otherwise and will wait 'til I see the waters clear! I know MaceCraft is better than this . . . :

Good luck Macecraft, I know you'll get there - I'll be rootin' for ya! Please just don't take another year to get it sorted.

Got it here also. Date sent says Aug 2 but it was just received tonight. Announced build 964.

Strange, according to the email header, the email was sent a while back. Also our email sending program reports that these newsletters were sent at the time build 964 was released.

Yesterday (Friday), I also received the wrong newsletter advising of the release of .964 which I already had. I then used the jv16 program to look for an update and it showed .966 which I downloaded.

Silly unnecessary errors that while not being 'serious' could possibly undermine confidence in the company as a whole. 2010 really should banish the 'problems' of 2009 in my opinion.
