I downloaded Power Tools 2.0.0.963 this morning and installed it over RC1 build 961. The installer ran 80% of the way to completion and stopped, hanging up my computer. Could not terminate the install even with Task Manager. Had to restart. Then I uninstalled v961 completely and tried to install v 2.0.0.963 again. Same thing happened at exactly the same point in the installation process. Nothing but a restart would allow me to regain control.
I have installed and used every beta version of Power Tools 2010 and all installed flawlessly. I read the Beta forums to keep up on issues and personally encountered few problems with the beta versions. I've uninstalled the new version and will rely on Power Tools 2009 for now. Looking forward to being able to use Power Tools 2010.
Given that the install never completes, I'm not sure how to provide debug info that would be helpful.
P.S. I downloaded Power Tools again and shut down my Norton Internet Security 2010 during the installation process. Everything installed properly and the new version is running fine. Not sure whether there was a problem with the initial download or that the Norton Anti-Virus was interfering with the installation. I did not turn Norton off on previous installs. Anyway, problem solved. Looking forward to using the latest version. Thanks for a great product.
