Hello jv
32bit, only Prevx 3.0 for security. System was a clean install, single partion,ntfs. No unusal programs to note.
Tried to recreate scanario but the system goes all the visible portions includeing shutdown. Upon restart there is no CMD window andreg compact does not occur any more.
I looked at the log as requested, The previous / initial log was a larger log (more complete) but when I tried to re-create the problem the program seems to have purgede the previous log.
attached is the last and only log I can find:

Computer restarts normal from this point and does not show the CMD window at all, nor does it seem to run the compactor.
I uninstalled the program, restarted then proceeded to re-install JV16 2010, ran the cleanup and proceeded to run the compactor. Ran flawless this time.
