I agree. And I also agree that such more automated system would be better. The problem is that PowerTools at the moment uses two debug systems, the Debug Log that is basically a log of what is happening inside the program during its operation and the Bugreport.txt that is generated by a third party crash catcher that creates the file whenever it detects the program being about to crash.

Since the latter system is a third party system, it would take quite an effort to integrate everything to a one single system with such automated data sending feature.

Another thing that we have a web development company working on complete rebuild of our site, this will also mean the rebuilding of the Bug Tracker. Before this is done, I don't want to invest too much more time in development of the current Bug Tracker as it will be replaced with another system later in this year.

But I agree that it would be very nice indeed. Lets hope we'll find the time to do this. I can't promise it for PT 2011, but I'd really like to see it happening.

Could you please send a Debug Log of this issue? You can post it to this thread or whichever method you prefer. I'd just like to get this thing fixed.

I have a feeling I saw the same bug in some PowerTools 2010 beta testing thread but I cannot remember where nor can't find it now.

So, I'd really need the Debug Log.

It's very difficult to fix the issue without it.

OK, I took the chance, and have now uploaded the debug log after jv16 crashed. I'll see if I can replicate the other bug on my other machine.

That's bullshit. I did run the "Clean and fix my computer". I'm not stupid. But perhaps your program's debug routine doesn't work as it should.

jv16 crashed on exit today. I sent you the debug log. Go on and tell me "Debug Log doesn't show even jv16 exiting".

Perhaps I'll blog about how your program crashes left and right and may be unsafe to run. My computer has become unstable after installing and running jv16 Powertools 2010. It has crashed several times the last two days.

I think I followed the rule in what you quote here? No verbal abuse as far as I can see. I apologize for the one before that where I used the b word. I'm calm and relaxed now. I just used the Last Known Good Configuration feature in XP, and now it seems stable. I have reverted to Powertools 2009, which seems to work fine, for now. The following is not a snide comment, but a genuine comment on what I perceive to be a flawed process on your part. You have a beta testing process, for sure. But when you release such a buggy product as you have with the 2010 version, it's apparent that this process is too short and/or contain too few betatesters. I urge you to take that into consideration in the future. Thank you.
