Windows 7 Compatibility?

Quick question - is jv16 Powertools 2009 compatible with Windows 7? I just upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium. I have been a jv16 Powertools user from back in the freeware days right up through the 2009 version. I upgraded my machines with Windows 7 Home Premium and before I reisntall each of my programs I am checking the developer's web sites to determine whether or not the products can run on Windows 7.

Try as I might, reading through the web site, product pages, press pages, etc. I cannot find any mention of System Requirements or Windows 7. I was hoping to see an announcement post here that would clear it up, but I don't see any such post.

So can I install jv16 Powertools 2009 and merrily clean up as needed? Or must I do without jv16 Powertools on my computer for the first time in a lot of years? (Hope not!!)

I guess jv16 PowerTools 2009 is partially compatible with Windows 7 and in any case with the 32-bit version of that OS.

Do notice that some features of jv16 PowerTools 2009 are not available under Windows 7. These features are the Registry Compactor and the System Optimizer: read here.

Where is the beta of jv16pt 2010 and what is the expected upgrade cost?

This is disappointing. Windows 7 is released and this is one of only two programs I use that isn't ready for it. The other is ACDSee Photo Manager 2009 - ACD Systems isn't bothering to update either, instead making users upgrade when the next version is released. And so I have trashed that and picked a different photo manager. If that is how jv16 PT is handling it also then I guess I had better start looking around.

The expected upgrade cost for existing customers is about $5. However, we are considering giving PowerTools 2010 away as a free update to all existing customers, no matter what version they have bought.
