jv16 Ludvig wrote I'm on XP SP3.Installed the latest over .590. Unfortunetely NOT fixed,JV...Plus,when I click on "Fix",nothing happens at first .I have to click it a second time to trigger the cleaning and that's when the below message appears: But what does that mean exactly ? And why do I have to click twice on "Fix" ? I must say that .590 worked just fine for me.None of what I've just described happened with this penultimate version. The main problem I can see is that you don't get the error message on the first click. The key you are attempting to remove looks very much corrupted and that seems to be the reason why PowerTools cannot remove it. You can try to remove it manually with RegEdit.
ludvig Just deleted the faulty key and everything works superbly fine ! jv16 PowerTools 2009 (1.9.1.606) officially adopted.Thank you,JV.
trunkles Well, I'm running 606 on XP SP3 and registry cleaner still appears to do nothing. I click 'Fix', get the "do you want to back up the entries" dialog and select either yes or no and that's it, nothing happens afterwards. Any offers on a solution? :?

For instructions how to do this, see: http://www.macecraft.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=3958 Did you get the PM with the URLs of the log files in it? Did you yet receive a reply from jv16, after you sent the debug logs, about a potential cause of the problem?
leonardo Trunkles wroteNo, I haven't received one as yet. Trunkles, see forum track "jv16 PowerTool 2009" and then item " What would cause the Fix button to be ignored?" for the reply from jv16 on this issue!
