Issues Fixed (since the original Beta5 release)
Issues Reported (numbers continue from previous version)
41. Main window statistics says “... fixed 695 registry errors and deleted 51 temp files, 5 files deleted in total.” which is contradictory. It should say, for example, “... fixed 695 registry errors, deleted 51 temp files, and deleted 5 other files.”
177. Clicked buttons do not turn green until the next time the window loads.
179. Custom Uninstall Software: Delete crashes the program.
181. Start Menu Tool: has many good shortcuts listed as broken
182. Start Menu Tool: displays the broken shortcut file reference column using apparent oriental ideograms
184. File Tool: Move to Recycle Bin always gets “Failed to remove ...” messages, and nothing moves.
185. File Tool: “Mass file rename” function gets an access violation (AV).
186. File Tool: “Mass file rename” window's buttons lack the colored icon.
187. File Tool: “Mass file rename” window's icons do nothing when clicked, perhaps due to the AV.
191. File Tool: the “Execute” icon does nothing. I expected it to open a .txt file in notepad.
192. File Tool: the “View” icon gets an access violation (AV). I expected it to open a .txt file in notepad.
193. File Tool: “Explore” icon and More functions-->Explore misbehave a little bit: If only one file is selected, but some other file is highlighted, the file that shows in the Explorer window is the highlighted one, not the selected one.
195. File Tool: “Split” – the Options tab is empty.
196. Many tools contain empty drop down lists, for example: File Tool: “Split” – the two drop down lists in the Split settings tab are empty.
199. File Tool: I clicked the Wipe icon with one file selected. The file changed but did not get “wiped.”
202. File Organizer: can create folders that confuse Windows. {.} 784 x64 w7
206. Automation Tool: fails with an “invalid operation” when you just click its icon. Same issue applies to other tools that start with an empty list when first time used.
207. Settings Tool: the Installation browse buttons work. The Advanced ones do not work.
208. Settings Tool : “Button: Restore default fonts” is not visible. (Note: it should be visible only when the font settings are changed, but this did not work)
215. Custom Restore: edit a description, then Save and Reload. The change does not show in the main list until the next session.
216. System Cleaner: its automation window has some minor issues.
217. Automation Tool: “Delete files from Directories...”; the specification box is flawed.
218. Main window: spontaneously moves to screen's left side when user clicks a central icon.
Issues Reported (new numbers)
1. Detection of some program data (such as Temp Dirs) does not honor the Global Ignore List.
2. Registry Cleaner>Most Aggressive Mode. The registry cleaner is improperly parsing Environmental Variables in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SeCEdit. The exported registry key is attached.
3. The About window mentions a trial period of 30 days, although the Beta5 gives the user a trial period of 60 days.
4. Registry Compactor doesn't always open when run under Windows 7.
5. Known bug fixed: All features that requires the user to select a file using the Windows Open or Save To dialog such as "Save List As", "Export to .Reg" etc. do not always work with 64 bit Vista.
6. Some texts of the Quick Tutorial window are truncated.
7. The program does not always honor the Global Ignore List.
8. File Tool's and Directory Tool's file drag and drop support is not working (Note: this is a partial fix, drag and drop is not yet working when dropping to the list, but other parts of the window now work).
9. File or directory drag and drop to the Main Window does not work. (Note: if you drop a file to the Main Window, it should open in File Tool, if you drop directories, they should open in Directory Tool, if you drop a license file, it should open in the License Tool).
10. Starting the Registry Compactor with the reboot option causes the program to crash.
11. Many windows contain truncated controls.
Issues Not Reported AFAIK
1. Settings window doesn't scale very well, many elements remain the same size no matter how large the window is made.
2. When trying to change the fonts via Settings window, an error message of "All of your fonts are hidden" randomly shows. Applies to users running 64 bit Windows 7.
Improvements Done:
1. Improved the support for the Global Ignore List.
2. Improved the message displayed by the Backup tool after a backup has been restored.
3. Improved the Software Uninstaller's ability to find software from the system.
4. The blue borders of the Main Window are no longer visible under Windows XP, as XP itself also adds blue edges to windows by default.
5. Temp files are now included in the total number of files deleted number visible in the Main Window's Statistics box.
Fix in the making:
194. File Tool: “Find and Replace” doesn't do anything
Known Bug: File Recovery's Undelete button does not work.
