When the Scan Results message window overlaps the Scan Results window, it steals the focus from the Results window.

It's not much of an issue. Moving or closing the message window solves the problem.

I don't know if it might cause a problem for anyone, but the program is doing something unexpected with respect to License.xbin.

Namely, it searches and finds a file and updates Settings.dat as follows:

This is done for the VIP support. The PT Lite offers Live Chat support only for those who own a VIP or Platinum VIP package. And an old license of any of our products, like PT 2005, counts as VIP package.

The list had only one line for the first part of the structure: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\classes\Bad item display

Duplicate line analysis v.1.9.0.574

Here's what the above version does with the "bad item display" test structure (refer to screenshots):

1. This test used no ignore words.

2. The unselected lines reflect the actual registry keys, per open in RegEdit.

3. The selected lines are duplicates, apparently of the first line.

4. Actually, however, per open in RegEdit and the caption area, each points to the same registry key as the following line.

5. The duplicating lines are included in the item count.

6. Only the HKLM keys are shown. The HKCR mirror keys are not in the list.

If all HKLM items are excluded with an ignore word, a few HKCR lines appear in the results list.

This is Vista SP2 RTM x64 Business.

PT Lite B574 is missing items that PT 2009 B569 is detecting. Below is pics of what each finds. I let PT Lite fix what it found and then reran PT 2009 which found left over.

To get PT Lite to open up I have to click on the ok button 4 times before it opens.

Language menu v.1.9.0.575

English shows twice. Whan you click the second one, it apparently converts to one that doesn't use the western caharacter set. There is only one English.lng in the Languages folder. :?

V.1.9.0.575 is much better. With no ignore words:

1. The correct number of lines is in the results, 8 HKCR and 8 HKLM.

2. Each line in the list points to the correct unique leaf of the structure (per the caption area and Open in RegEdit).

3. The only flaw is in the detail lines (see the screenshot). They look like duplicates.

4. If the "Current registry key" in each line's caption area were in the detail line, it would be perfect.

Registry errors ("file does not exist" type) v.1.9.0.575

Note: this describes similar bugs in PTLite and PT2009 structured format, and a different bug in PT2009 raw format.

I deleted (via "Fix") about a half dozen items.

The items were backed up but not deleted, so the count in the message window below is "correct." PT2009 v.1.9.0.569 (structured format) did the same thing.

PT2008 (structured format) deleted the items (via "Fix") with no problems.

PT2009 v.1.9.0.569 (raw format) said it fixed the items, but actually it deleted them (see screenshot).

The registry entries after the screenshots should allow reproduction of the bug.

This is not necessarily a bug worth fixing for the first release.

At the most aggressive setting, PTLite finds no muicache errors.

PT2009 v.1.9.0.569 finds 21 such errors ("file does not exist" type) at the default setting (second slider position). It lists them in the MRU/History category.

Final version of the program has been released so I'm closing this thread. I'll post the few remaining issues to the Bug Tracker and handle them via it.
