Reg Manager Starting Programs

1) I am unable to right-click regedit an item: nothing happens when I select RegEdit or use Ctrl-R.

I have the Program Settings / Advanced / Default Reg Editor set to C:\WINDOWS\system32\regedt32.exe.

2) Will the 'add program' feature be returned to Starting Programs?

3) Is there a list of features and updates planned in the future?

1). I tested it out. And it indeed doesn't work at the starting programs, but it does at the Filetypes.

2). That i don't know, i have asked this also, and i thought JV told he would think about adding it back :).

1) Thank you for reporting, it works after the next update.

2) Yes.

3) Not really, but you can expect all the features present in 1.4.1's Registry Manager to be included to the PT2005, and of course, many other features too.

Thanks for the quick replies.

1) Regarding Filetypes, is there any way to determine what some of those mystery file types are, and whether they can be removed?

2) I tried changing the RegEdit Default to my favored editor, RegHance (Lavasoft), but it apparently does not receive the address from PT. Are there other editors that do work with PT?

1). You can try to find out on this website: http://filext.com/ - Mabye an idea for JV to add this option

2). That i can't awnser you, thats something inside the code .

I went to filext.com and found something really interesting there:

If you run the bat file that generates a text file of all file associations, you also get a listing of the programs associated with the file types. Very cool.

FYI: the text file was written to \windows\system32, not the desktop where the .bat was stored.
