Registry Cleaner - AppHangB1 plus more Vista x86 not SP1 -- v.1.9.0.539

Multiple bugs . . . refer to screenshot . . .

1. The program thinks C:\hyberfil.sys does not exist.

2. Right click on a selected line within a category shows no context menu if more than one line in the list is selected.

3. Right click on a not selected line within a category shows no context menu unless just one line anywhere in the list is selected (happens every time).

5. Clicking on a line in a partially selected category (trying to unhighlight lines) caused an application hang.

There were three categories on the list.

The 2nd and 3rd were selected.

After clicking Delete and responding to the backup dialog, all lines stayed on the list.

The backup only contained the 2nd category.

The attempt to Close the list resulted in another AppHangB1.

A rescan showed the 3rd category had not been deleted.

Added note: Although it doesn't show in the list, the table cell behind a list item without a key actually points to the correct registry subkey. This fact can be inferred by doing a RegEdit jump from the line.

It should show:

HKCU\Soft\Mindscape\ @ N/A

HKCU\Soft\Mindscape\BorderPlus\ {KEY} {KEY}

HKCU\Soft\Mindscape\BorderPlus\ @ N/A

Of course this instance is merely cosmetic since only the top key matters if deleting, and the raw list showed:

HKCU\Soft\Mindscape\BorderPlus\ {KEY} {KEY}

HKCU\Soft\Mindscape\BorderPlus\Settings\ {KEY} {KEY}

The structured list should display one of the green formats.

There were two categories on the list.

Both were selected.

After clicking Delete and responding to the backup dialog, all lines stayed on the list.

The backup contained everything on the list.

Other tests with more than two categories showed:

* The selected counts in the status line and category panes do not get updated when items are deleted from the registry. No doubt that's because the lines have stayed on the list.

* The checkboxes stay checked even though the items have been deleted from the registry. Probably the same reason …

* The counts in the messages are correct.

Does the crashes occur with the 540 version as well?

In v.1.9.0.540:

The AppHangs are not happening.

Highlight control with mouse &/or keyboard actions is now normal. However, checked lines should stay highlighted, but they do not.

You still do not get an unchecked line's context menu unless at least one other line anywhere in the list is checked. The two checked line issue is fixed.

An empty multiple key structure still does not list correctly.

The program still thinks C:\hyberfil.sys does not exist.

The just prior post's issues relating to "stays on list after delete" happen every time.
