Slow shutdown caused by jv16 PT

Since I installed jv16 PT 2009 on Windows 7, shutdown takes longer. The Performance Tool points squarely at jv16 PT. Also, the Event Viewer lists an error indicating that "the application jv16PT.exe caused a delay in the shutdown process". This is the only program causing an "Error" in this category. I do not understand how this is happening since I always close jv16 PT after using it; it shouldn't be running during shutdown.

Have you used the Automation Tool or any other tool that would cause the PowerTools be running on the background? Can you see with PT's Startup Manager whether PowerTools has been configured to start automatically with Windows?

I am attaching the list of automatic startups saved with the Startup Manager:

jv16_startup1 - includes "Startup folder and basic registry items"

jv16_startup2 - includes "All starting applications and libraries"

Ah, I think I now know what's going on. The problem should now be fixed, the potential fix will be included to the next released version of PowerTools due out later this week. Thank you for reporting!
