V 1.9.0.528 Registry Cleaner not working under Vista Home

I have tried using the Registry Cleaner in V 1.9.0.528 on my laptop which has Vista Home Premium installed. Registry Cleaner does not complete. It seems to hang at about the 90% complete mark. I have tried using both methods with no change and I have even tried updating the shortcut to run under Admin. authority although I am using an Admin account. Nothing helps and the registry cleaner does not complete. I have not problems with Windows XP Pro.

How long have you tried to wait?

As much as 5 to 10 minutes. Much longer than I ever did in the previous version and this does not happen in Windows XP.

I did a little additional testing today and let it run for an hour and it still did not complete. I then tried running each of the types of scans one at a time and found that the problem is with the "File Reference Scan". All the other scans run successfully. If I uncheck this one scan type and have all the others checked the scan works fine.

I think Tullik has reported something like this (problems with "File Reference scan") in earlier versions of the program?

Perhaps running the file reference scan on your laptop in debug mode would help jv16 spot the cause of the problem.

This empty file, C:\Program Files\jv16 PowerTools 2009\DebugMode.dat, turns on debug mode. It creates two log files on your desktop.

Attach them here in a .zip folder.

With the 531 update the Registry cleaner has started working but I think the Registry Health report may be messed up or something very wrong is going on with my system since it is reporting 24/100.

Edit ... I have added a debug file. Maybe it will show what is causing the 24/100 problem.
