1.feedback on system optimizer 2.startUp manager

1. system optimizer:

I have the impression that the optimizer isw not yet in function:

none of the wanted options were executed.

I checked "Remove my Documents from the Start Menu", but after

restart the Documents were still there and the option was unchecked!

2. StartUp Manager:

In earlier days the startup manager showed what exes were enabled AND disabled.

Now I see enabled exes only; the disabled exes are only shown when disabled in the existing list.

Yes, but the tweaks i mention do not work for me and i tried them several times, restarting included!

Several tweaks ARE working indeed...

and some don't

did you do the test for removing "documents" too?

Did you click the "Apply" button after ticking the tweaks and before rebooting?

I applied all 20 tweaks and confirmed that 8 (maybe 9), including My Documents on (or off) the start menu, worked as expected in Windows.

1. If I click on "here" for feedback I feel lost in an environment called "jv16 PowerTools 2009 RC2 released" where I only see "postreply" and no "newreply. That's why I stay on the place where I get and answer anyway.

2. As I wrote, I do pewss thebutton Apply? Didn't you read that.

3. Although Redseujac and Tullik write that all tweaks work for them, I have to persist that the "Remove Documents"

does not work for me. I describe eaxctly what I do, please give me your comment:

a. I open the sdystem optimizer and click "user interface tweaks".

b. I check "Remove My Documents..."

c. I press "Apply".

d. I reboot

e. after reboot "Remove My Documents..." is unchecked !

All the same 1 minute ago !!!!

Also, post your answer in "jv16 PowerTools 2009 RC2 released" and include a copy-and-paste of the content of this file: C:\Program Files\jv16 PowerTools 2009\Backups\_SystemOptimizer\2-5\Entries.reg.

1) NewReply does NOT exist, it has always been POSTREPLY.

No, I couldn't read that because it seems to me you didn't mention anywhere explicitly that you pressed (not "pewss") that "Apply" button...

With some intelligence it could have been clear, even for you, that "pewss" was a typo, certainly where I mentioned the button Apply several times already.

Is this realy all your comment?

Well, I have reread all your previous posts and unfortunately I still couldn't find a single paragraph where you mentioned you clicked the button "Apply".

Never mind... I just have tried to find out what could have been the problem.

I noticed you finally have found the right way to post your feedback at the appropriate section of this forum.

It's a pity for you some tweaks of the System Optimizer don't work properly.

So far no other user has reported that issue for version RC2d.

So there is no solution in jv16.

I removed Documents with "X-setup Pro", without any problem.

Be aware that still there is something wrong with the tweaks, since they work for me not

on Vista nor on XP.
