pcguy wroteI own JV16 powertools 2006 and tried the trial of JV16 Powertools 2009 and its registry cleaner. However it does not work as the manual describes. I perform a scan but do not see the Scan Report as shown on page 35 of the manual. Instead I see a tree diagram as shown on page 36. I then click on Fix button, get prompted to save a copy (which I do) and then there is a brief flash of something on the monitor screen but the errors found in the registry are still there!
PT2009 is in beta testing (beta3):
- A PT2009 manual does not yet exist.
The Scan Report is not yet available in the betas; perhaps it will be in beta4, or RC1, whichever is next.
PT2009 changes the tree diagram to a differently structured list format.
What version of the PT2009 beta did you use? For example, beta1 was temporarily read-only by design as described in the beta1 release notes (neither Fix nor Delete did anything).
I suppose you really meant PT2008 per your topic title. With PT2008, I'm not having any of the problems you describe. Perhaps your PT2008 Registry Cleaner settings were not quite right -- what were your settings?
