Help! Need to recover photos

I hope you can help me. I am running XP and I did a real clean out on my machine because of so many problems. I ran the reg cleaner and made backups. I ran the file cleaner and cleaned out the temps and did not make a back up. Then I ran the software manager and didn't make backups. Unfortunately, I had a check mark in two boxes at the same time. I deleted my Kodak Software program by mistake with some of my newest pictures that I cannot find elsewhere on my computer. I believe it may have asked if I wanted the directory deleted and I said yes, thinking I was deleting something else. Is there any way to get these back. My System Restore is not working so I cannot use that but I was hoping JV16 had a system restore that would undo whatever I did even if I did not create a backup. Thanks in advance.

A Google search for 'freeware deleted file recovery' shows that there are many free file recovery utilities. Do a little research and proceed accordingly.

In jv16 PowerTools 2008 there is also "File Recovery" in the "File Tools".
