Errors keep returning

using jv16 PowerTools 2005 1.5.1.300 if I use the registry cleaner and then go to windows add/remove and immediately return to the registry cleaner I get 33 errors - example below.

If I fix/clean the errors do not return until I again go to windows add/remove.

My machine is long overdue for a full re-install but in the meantime is there anyway to fix this ?

Crap cleaner also shows the same errors- removes them - and then they come back once I have eneterd add/remove.

Finally jv16 PowerTools 2005 seems to me to be the best program of its type. Thanks for producing such a great program

Hello John,

Did you check under "Advanced options" the possibility "Don't show items that would be automatically re-created.

May be this are such items recreated by Windwos or an other software.

thanks - I guess I could do that but these errors all refer to uninstall issues and should not be recreated. I don't think they really matter and I could even ignore them. I just wondered if there was a way to dig deeper and to correct the error that was causing them to re appear. If I can't solve the problem I will probably do as you suggest...... am going to reinstall soon anyway.

Interesting, quite often those "ARP Cache" entries are all that show up in the reg cleaner for me too. And I thought I did have that "Don't show" thing ticked, but I'll obviously have to take another look.

Answer to you question is simple: the Windows Add/Remove feature always re-creates the entries when used. Many third party applications behaves like this too.

As already suggested, I think the only way to "solve" the "problem" is to tell the product to ignore (i.e. not to list) these entries.

Along the same lines as this post, I am using the free trial version currently. Come to find out there were like 300 errors or more when I first ran the Registry Cleaner. I got to erase most and things seem to be working fine. Now I've gone back in and done it several times since the first and I keep getting the same file coming back again, all are of High severity and have to do wit the same error, "file or directory does not exist" no matter how many times I click remove they keep coming back. They all refer to a media player called Blaze Video which I have removed throuhg uninstall and deleted all folders off my C drive.

I've also checked off the option to not show items that would be re created, they keep coming back though. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

You could enter some common word of this items - such as Blaze -, in the Ignore list, so they shouldn't be shown again.

I know, this is not a defenitive solution, just a "First aid".

May be somebody else can give you a more "valuable" explanation on how to remove definitively this pertinent items.

Yea, I guess I could do that so I just dont get them coming up anymore. However, I really would like to get rid of them since I no longer have the software. They also say it is a high risk which makes me want to remove them permanently (I'm assuming the risk is high only if I try and open the program..but it is gone, so maybe the risk isn't that high after all)
