If you run the MRU cleaner of the registry cleaner it will always list these kind of MRU keys as invalid, no matter whether the file references are valid or not. If you don't wish it to do this, simply uncheck the MRU scan option from the tools options.
ran regcleaner again with MRU checked, the msg is "does not exist"

other non_jv16 files that this scan finds ref MRU, in fact, those files have been removed and do not exist, but the 7 jv16 saved scan files *do* exist. this is not exactly problematic, but the detailed report that jv16 gives for each of those entries is "confusing" since it says file "does not exist" when in fact it does. I guess you are saying ignore the verbage...
