Command line parameters which don't work

Command line parameters which don't work (v.1.8.0.460)

The following command line parameters bring up the main window, not the tool window:

-AutomationTool (Opens the Automation Tool)

-BackupTool (Opens the Backup Tool)

-CookieManager (Opens the Cookie Manager) (*)

-DuplicateFinder (Opens the Duplicate File Finder)

-HistoryManager (Opens the History Manager) (*)

-PrivacyProtector (Opens the Privacy Protector) (*)

-Settings (Opens the Settings window)

The rest of the command line parameters in the "Handbook" Appendix table bring up the expected window.

(*) Not a currently implemented tool …

These bugs are now fixed, as well as the handbook is now updated to reflect the recent development. These improvements will be included to the next released version of PowerTools, due out in this month.

But, there were many other errors in that Handbook and some users have made a list with corrections:

Besides I have sent a document containing all those errors and their corrections via ticket to Macecraft Software.

Do you still have the ticket number? I asked our technical support and they didn't remember seeing such ticket.

Yes, all these corrections will be included to the next version's handbook.

That's great. Will that next version of the handbook also be available separately on macecraft.com (because the current separately available handbook on the site is still the first version of the handbook and not the improved version as is included in the current jv16 PowerTools 2008 installer)?

Of course. I also just updated the version currently available at our site to the most recent version.

Of course. I also just updated the version currently available at our site to the most recent version.

There are also new errors introduced in the most recent version of the jv16 PowerTools 2008 Handbook:

On for instance pages 27 and 31 of the latest handbook on macecraft.com "Add/Remove Programs" from the control panel is listed as "Add/delete Software", which is not correct.

Also a lot of times the word "delete" is used in the text, while the word "remove" is used in the screenshots.

Button names, like "The delete button" should also be "The Delete button".

On page 35 "Scan Report" (in the middle of the page) is missing it's special font.

Pages 41 and 42 still say "Find & Replace" instead of "Find and Replace".

I guess several screenshots are outdated and should be replaced, because they don't match the actual program anymore.

On most (in any case several) program buttons the previous text "Remove" has been replaced by "Delete", so the Handbook should reflect that change both in the text and the screenshots indeed.

Well in Vista > Contral Panel, I even read "Programs and Features" > "Uninstall or change a program", instead of "Add/Remove Programs".

I was talking about XP and earlier.

But what's in the latest version of the handbook now is wrong anyway.

You are correct, this issue should be fixed in the next version of the Handbook. Although I don't think this to be a major problem as I think most users of PT understand what Windows' "Add/Remove Software" feature refers to.

This is true, but this is addressed in the introduction of the Handbook where it says that the screenshots included in the Handbook were made with a certain version of the product and thus they may contain slighly different wording compared to the most recent version and text.
