I’m trying out jv16 Power Tools 2005 and it seems to be a great program but- here’s the problem I’m finding. When I remove a program, I use Windows “Add or Remove Programs” and then jv16 “Registry Finder” to clean up what might be left over. An example problem is I just removed Iolo’s “System Mechanic” using the Add or Remove Programs. When I try to use Registry Finder option in jv16 listing “Iolo” and “System Mechanic” as the search words, I received 242 entries. A lot of them were entries that included iolo inside the full name, i.e. - %SystemRoot%\System32\IoLogMsg.dll. I’m not sure I want to remove those entries. Is there a way that when I enter Iolo into the Search Words, I know that this is actually referring to just the word Iolo ?

Could you put a space, backslash, or some other character at each end of Iolo ? Remember, you also have the power of regular expressions available.

I've tried those but no luck. What do mean by "power of regular expressions" ?

The most simple way would be to manually go through the 242 entries and only remove the ones that are connected to the Iolo System Mechanic.

Or, you could also first try to use the new PT's Software Manager's Custom Remove. It should be able to locate most of the product's entries too.

When I type Jv 16 power Tools , nothing appears!!!

is that possible that thistool hasto be used with some guidelines?

The same happens with Macecraft: no items !!!!

The second question is more delicate : doessomebody know on this forum what is the extension of I tunes installation ? I tried to update to the last version , but although any tool about registry tells me that threr are no leftovers of I tunes in my Registry, Installer keeps going that aprevious install of Itunes should be uninstalled first . how to do that if no keys are I tunes related?
