I got an error Installing JV16 2008

Hello!

After installing the JV16 PowerTools 2008 version 1.8.0.449 I got an error on the TaskSchedule Service and by consequence on every service of this group like eventlog, automatic save, defrag everything being scheduled cannot be launched.

The reason we discover is a wrong key in the registry basis

Key : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog\Parameters with no value.

Every thing is enabled suppressing this key.

Do you know if the same problem can occure with the new 451 version?

No, it can't.

A PT2008 bug causing the Eventlog (and dependent services) not to work was fixed in v.1.8.0.446.

A repair feature was included in v.1.8.0.449 (see quote below).

Build 449 has now been released, it contains the new version of the Undo feature that attempts to fix the damage done by the initial version's Startup Manager. In order to use the fix, simply start the program, press down Ctrl + Shift and navigate to the Debug menu.

That repair feature is still present in v.1.8.0.451 (I've run it).
