I install jv16 powertools on my system, I am running windows xp pro sp2. and after I installed the software my windows disk management stop working giving me a error message " server exeucation failed" Can someone help me with this?

After the disk mangement problem, I had to reformat my hard drive and start again. I refuse to put jv16 powertools 2005 back in my system. To me it has not been fully tested and not all the bugs worked out.

Would you believe there is one software application without bugs - I think Microsoft products are a "good" example! And as we see in this forums a problem showing on one machine can't be reproduced on an other one.

I'm running Xp Home with SP2 and I did'nt had a problem with the disk managment.

And another fact is that - even well tested before release - every software in user practice shows more or less bugs, depending on how complex the soft is.

But how a developper could fix the problems, if users won't cooperate an make their reports.

Just now, writing this reply, Firefox and/or Xp had an "indigestion" and the only possibility to come back was an ... Reset.

Did you simply try to restore the backup created by the product before going through the trouble of reformating and installing everything?

By the way, I don't quite understand why people are so keen with the formating. A simply re-installation of Windows over the top of the current installation solves the problems in 99 cases of 100, and that way you won't lose your installed applications or other data.

I Think i mabye know what your problem whas/is.

But this shouldn't have happend with the latest version of PowerTools.

If you have used an older version this could be the case.

Also, notice that the are also other programs file/reg cleaners that can produce this problem.
