449 - Blank Screen

I updated to version 449. When I run the app I get nothing but a blue screen and the screen below the main menu where the icons are supposed to be that says "All tests passed..."

I'm going to try and upload an image for you.

Same problem for me.

XP SP2 german.

Version 446 is ok.

Well I finally got it to work. What I did was to stretch the display until it filled the whole screen. Sort of a manual maximize. Very strange.

Confirmed XPSP2 (English US). Maximizing the window manually did not help.

Same problem for me. However, stretching did not help.

This problem appears to be totally random - sometimes, when I click on the icon or use the start menu, the main index to the program actually works. More times than not, it is the blank blue screen as shown in this thread.

Also, I cannot close the "blank screen" program without doing a Ctrl - Shift - Esc and then ending the program in the Windows Task Manager. I am using XP Home edition.

Any answers? Any fixes? I have used RegSupreme for almost 5 years now. I want this program but I will not buy it unless/until there is a fix to this problem.

I also have the blue screen problem. It is totally random, sometimes you have to launch it 10 times before it works; the PC health cleaner also does not work. This program is pretty useless for me. How to get back to the previous version? I had only the trial version and deleted it when I paid for the new 449. Anybody knows a solution?

I posted this in another thread before i saw this one - sorry for the dup.

I am having the same problem. When I start JV16 all I get is a rectangle with the background blue/white showing and no text or menus. The log shows below the window as expected and indicates that everything is OK. Alt-F4 closes the log file and another Alt-F4 closes the blue background window (i.e. JV16 is terminated) - so it isn't locked up, the interface is disabled.

i think it has something to do with the license file but that is just a wild-a**ed guess.

I did not have this problem with 449 but when I updated to 451 today I started having this problem.

I am sorry to report that I also applied today's update and I still have the screen problem. I get the real screen occasionally but most of the time it's the blue-window-of-death (BWOD).

I have the same problem - 449 and 451 still don't work correctly.

Edit: Now using 455 and problem is still there.

Yesterday the update to 451, and all was ok.

Today again the blank screen.

I think its time to fix this bug !!!

Just installed 452 and it has the same problem. 449 displays okay for me so I keep having to go back to it so I can at least use the product. I don't know why this can not be corrected.

Hello,

This "phenomena" happens to me if I start PowerTools (452 & 455) in Debug mode.

By unactivating the DebugMode.dat in the installation folder PowerTools starts with the normal window again.

So if you do have a "jv16PT_Debuglog.txt" on your desktop, delete this one. Then check if in the PT installation folder you find "DebugMode.dat" and rename it to "_Debugmode.dat".

May be this helps to find the culprit.

The problem continues into 455. I tried the debugmode.dat thing. Don't even have a file by that name in my system.
