Startup Manager Window looks strange

The Startup Manager in version 449 looks strange. I guess it is not working properly at all? : Checked with Win XP SP2 and Vista Home basic.

Not only does it look strange, but it works some havoc that persists beyond re-installing 446. I had to completely uninstall and install 446 from scratch to return the Startup Manager to normal.

I can also confirm the exact same screen/problem with the Startup Manager on both Desktop and Laptop with XP Pro SP2.

Got the same issue on my Win 2003 Server SP-2

The bug with the Startup Manager is now fixed, simply re-download the 449 build and install it. The fix was included as a silent update, i.e. the version number was not increased.

If the two preceding posts refer to the Startup Manager's window appearance, that is fixed.

Since the "improved installer" Is currently irrelevant, here's how to tell:

1. In the main window, click the Startup Manager icon.

2. If the resulting window appears like the one at the head of this topic , you do not have the fixed rendition of v 1.8.0.449.

3. In that case, download PT2008 again from Macecraft.com and reinstall in your current PT2008 folder.

4. If that doesn't fix it, clear your browser's cache and do step 3 again.

That is true. But we will be releasing a new version in next week, that solves that matter.

That "improved installer" is illegal and Jan (should) know it...

But he goes on posting the new PT2008 versions included in those illegal packages at edskes.net.

Therefore he's violating the law and he's risking criminal pursuites and civil claim(s) for damages.

Also he could be banned from this forum...
