Unsubscribe Problem

A few moments ago I received two newsletters about jv16 PowerTools 2008. The two emails are identical except that the time differs by one minute. Since I do not want to receive two newsletters for every issue then I clicked on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of one of the emails. To my surpise I got the following message:-

"You have NOT been unsubscribed from selected Macecraft Software newsletter. You may be already unsubscribed or never subscribed or maybe you are trying to break Macecraft Software World Wide Web pages' security system."

Since I have subscribed and wish to continue to receive the newsletter then it seems odd to suggest that I might be already unsubscribed! Surely if I were unsubscribed then I would not have received the newsletter? The comment about me possibly trying to break Macecraft Software World Wide Web pages' security system is a little over the top; all I want to do is unsubscribe one of my two newsletters.

Can anyone please suggest how I might unsubscibe when the system refuses to let me?

Please try to copy & paste the unsubscription url entirely to the browser's address field and try again. Does that help?

I have now tried your kind suggestion but regret to inform you that it produced the same answer.
