Any way to reset preferences to "default"?

Hi,

Is there any way to reset saved preferences (I'm thinking specifically of the Duplicate Checker, but there's a number of other places to save them) to the as-installed default values? I must have slipped up, because my "custom" settings (for file types, locations, etc.) are now in both the default setting and in the "Save as" that I'd set up.

Or is my best bet simply to uninstall and re-install?

The only way to reset the settings is, I'm afraid, to remove the settings file of the specific tool.

For example, if you wish to reset the settings of the Duplicate Finder you must go to the product's settings directory (by default at C:\Program Files\jv16 PowerTools\Settings\) and delete the DupeFinder.dat

If you are unsure what file to remove you could also remove all the files from the settings directory, this would reset the settings of the entire application.

Thanks a lot -- that's a lot faster and easier than a re-install, especially since I didn't save the installer and would have to douwload it again.
