So...I have jv16pt 2007 and want to purchase 2008. 2008 says if you aree an existing user you can purchase an upgrade for $6.95. So I go to buy it and I can't find the offer for $6.95?

What to do?

i have also an old license; i realy thought that it was a lifetime license! do i think wrong? moreover do you offer discounted prices for the update for students?

http://www.macecraft.com/eshop/ offers the update for 6,95$ but eshop does not offer https-secured connection. woohoo. thats damn unprofessional!

well, there will be a secured connecting when it comes to the payment page... well ok.

BUT:

...thats a but coke! now we have end of february 2008 and the for one euro you will get 1,50 us-dollar! the exchangerate must be: (1 USD = 0.666 EUR - 29.2.2008)

and some more strange this happen... update from pt 1.4.x to 2008 costs just 5.95$ but from pt2006/2007 to 2008 it costs 6,95$. isnt pt2007 = pt 1.7.x ? so why does old pt 1.4.x license-owners get a special discount?

a medium pizza in norway (no grandiossa-shit) is indeed more expensive then the update from pt2006 to pt2008.

anyway, i purchased the 5,18 euro (bad exchangerate anyway) but the onlineshop did not work and gave back just errors. damn this.

Waiting for the site beeing updated ???? I went there very surprised of this brutal change of policy without notice and found an "offer" of 6... USD for 6 months and a personal License for life for 30 (approximately ) USD .... The server is so BADLY done that I am not sure that I did not buy TWO instead of one ; also when I ask for registration , I am asked about my name which is fine BUT one SHOULD KNOW that WHAT IS REQIRED IS THE CARDHOLDER's NAME which MIGHT DIFFER slightly for several reasons ;otherwise if you do enter a name which is NOT THE CARDHOLDER'S NAME payment is denied ! SOME EXPLANATIONS ARE SURELY IN ORDER :

1) regarding the CHANGE OF POLICY

The point about the cardholders name is a valid one.

The 'name' as filled in on the buy screen is not exactly what is on my card.

I wonder if this is why I am waiting for an email.

The order tracking screen says "awaiting payment"

More on that : I finally got on the same day that my former post the indication "payment accepted " BUT AFTER 48 hours No-e-mail ; this is absurd directly ; I cannot access my license key , I have no confirmation ; there is NO WAY to consult an account aso .... This should be REALLY corrected asp (meaning quickly !) ; it would put Macecraft trademark in jeopardy if things are going on that way ; regarding payment , the customer is entitled to KNOW immediately if his purchase is accepted , that there is due notice taken and instructions are to follow . I have to ways to control that : one is with my mail -client where I checked the eventual spam and also DIRECTLY on the server ; none indicates any confirmation mail .I need that beacuse , due to the very absurd interface of online payment I am unable to tell wether I paid once or twice !!! I noticed One accepted payment and because of my former remarks , I CAN guess that my first attempt was REJECTED as was the second which I attributed to a wrong card N° and checked . After I realized what really was going on , I got on line the acceptance; but this is NOT what is expected because (among other things Phishing possibilities) . Anyway , I am waiting till tomorrow to get a definite judgment. OLIVIER GEBUHRER
