MusicMatch Registry Key cannot be removed

Hi,

When I run the RegistryCleaner, it cannot remove a MusicMatch key in the registry.

Long time ago I had MM installed, then I removed it.

jv 16 has discovered an old obsolete key, but when I try to fix or delete it, I get the following error message:

: Failed to remove "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\MusicMatch"! Windows core returned the following error: "Invalid key"

I went into the registry and tried to remove the key myself, I get the same error: "cannot delete Applet: Error while deleting key"

This is the tree structure in the registry:

MusicMatch

- MusicMatch Burning

-- Applet

The Applet is the problem.

I tried in Safe Mode without success.

What else could I attempt?

My OS: XP PRO SP2

Hi,

I solved the problem this way:

I went into the registry and right clicked the Applet, although I had already the Permission set has "Administrator", I set them as "Everyone".

Then, I allowed Full Control and tried again to delete: It worked

I have no idea why "Admin" was not enough, but my "System Health Indicator" got to 100%
