For what purpose, dupe file finder?

I have a fairly new laptop that I ran dupe file finder on. It came back with 2,313 dupes. The list shows each entry only once. Are there really duplicates of every file listed?

Some, (many), of the listed files are very important to the operation of the computer and software so I did not delete anything.

What is the intended use of this tool? I think if you ran the tool and deleted all dupes in the hope that this somehow improved the condition of your computer, you might be in big trouble.

"Do notice that not all duplicate files are safe to remove just like that, usually quite the opposite. Therefore the use of the Duplicate Finder is only recommended for finding duplacete files from file

collections, such music or video collections."
