Crash while starting

lately PowerTools crashes with the following error messages:

Running Vista Business (latest security updates) with Symantec Endpoint Protection, BOClean.

What could be the reason?

Have you tried to run the program with all antivirus and third party security programs disabled?

If that doesn't help, please create an empty file called DebugMode.dat to the installation directory of the PowerTools (by default: c:\program files\jv16 PowerTools 2007) and start the program. Does a file called DebugLog show to your desktop? If it does, please open it with any text editor and copy & paste its contents here so I could take a look.

the DebugMode.dat file was created but no DebugLog showed on the desktop. Can I try something else?

Hello,

problem is no more.

What I did was cleaning out all Powertool's temporary files in safe mode. After rebooting in normal mode and starting Powertools, a debug-log was created.

If still interested in that log, please let me know.

I don't think there's any need for it anymore, since the problem has been solved.
