The jv16 PowerTools 2005 Beta2 (1.5.1.289) is now released.

This version has all the features implemented, the Duplicate Finder's new partial match feature actually works and there are tons and tons of bugs fixed.

I think you did a great and serious job - Thanks a lot!

By the way - reading the evolution-blog - I was thinking on this "funny" guy who had the meaning that even a few Dollars or Euros would be to much to pay for this amazing utility.

Just installed jv16 beta2. I don't visit the forums too often so just found it now.

How do I mark programs as Old? There is no way that I have found in Software Manager or Registry Manager to mark programs old as there was in 1.4.1.

Other than that it looks good.

You can mark the items as old from the right click menu. Firs, make sure you have the age system turned on from the Settings, then use e.g. the Software Manager, select some items and right click them and select Mark as old/new.

I found the age system to be very useful in the old jv16 power tools and really missed it in the released version. I am glad that it has been brought back, I had seen the prior posts about it as well.

2+3: I think you are correct, I will add them to the main window as icons in the future.

4. You are correct, it's indeed a bug. I'll fix it right away.

5. Also correct, I fixed this. The fix will be in the next released version.

6. Actually, I'm already working on this. I don't know if the improvements get ready for this update or to the next one.

7. You are correct, it's not very logical. But if the user is currently running Firefox and would try the History Manager and saw only IE's items listed he or she might think the program doesn't support Firefox.

8. Strange, but I have heard a few similar reports. I'll try to find something to fix.

9. This will be improved in the future.

This is what i wanted to say :

When I am on the Program settings, Security i set a password for the program.

So when i start the program, it ask for a password..

Now, take a situation, i opened the program with the password.. and i left it open, and i went somewhere and i am not by the pc.

Someone can go to the settings, and change the password when he is not allowed.

What i mean is that to change the password, the current password has to be set. and then only the person that can run the program can change the password.

I hope this time it was more understable.

I am glad i helped with the things that i found.

Today i cannot test the new beta... but I will do it tomorrow.
