File Search can't find C:\ directory !

I just downloaded jv16 PT and tried to use the File Search Function.

It asked Where I wanted to search.

It gave no Browse box.

Am I correct that I will always have to correctly manually type in the path of any search?

I typed 'C:'. An error message said the directory could not be found.

I typed 'C:\'. An error message said the directory could not be found.

I typed 'C:\Program Files', which appeared to work.

How can I search my entire disk?

I attempted to get more info from the handbook. It is PDF, without any hyperlinks, which would be useful only if all 80 pages were printed out.

I didn't see how to turn on a navigation panel.

Is there an HTML version more appropriate to use at the computer?

The settings shown below search the entire C:\ drive for .wma files.

The Add… button near the lower right in the Search in tab invokes a browse feature.

There is no HTML version of the PT2006 handbook, but it is quite easy to scroll through the document with the Adobe Reader. A PT2007 version of the handbook is not yet available.
