RegSupreme Pro 1.7 update not working

I have downloaded the updated version of RSPro 1.7 after uninstalling the previous version and using the previous licence key and the program does not run after clicking the program icon.All that happens is the icon just minimizes to the task bar and then nothing.I have re-installed several times but without success.Any suggestions anybody? My OS is Windows 98 SE

The previous version of RSPro i had on my Windows 98 SE OS was 1.4.0.49

and this ran perfectly.Therefore i uninstalled this version before i installed RSPro version 1.7.0.409 using existing licence key.As stated in System Requirements the latest version will run on Windows 98 SE.Is it possible to download version 1.4.0.49 from somewhere ?

The previous version we have stored is:

If you download and install this, remember to uninstall the 1.7 before.

I'm hoping to find the time to install Windows 98 to one of our test environments tomorrow and finally sort out the Win9x problem because I don't think it will too difficult to do. Updates to RSPro and RS are coming hopefully in this week.

The above is mistaken, in part.

I just tried v 1.7.0.409 (RSPro) on my son's W98SE system -- it worked.

Previously, I had tried with:

v 1.7.0.405 (PT2007) -- it did not work

v 1.7.0.411 (PT2007) -- it did work

Thanks for link to previous version RSPro.Ran with no problems as before.Very puzzled as to why RSPro 1.7 does not 'fire up' on my Windows 98 SE system.No error messages pop up when installing 1.7.Have checked other programs that may be conflicting with RSPro 1.7 ie Spybot,Spyware blaster,firewall settings etc ,everything is ok.Maybe i have set my Windows 98 SE in a particular way as to not 'fire up' 1.7 or some dll file been deleted by error.Who knows.I am happy using RSPro 1.4.0.49 for know .Any future updates to 1.7 may not work either...hmm...
